LAND OF YAVAI |
Yavai is home to many animals, yet hospitable to those wolves would encounter around forests, Tundras, Mountains and grasslands. There currently aren't any known swamps, deserts or shrub lands in Yavai, but exploration in the world is key discovery. Magic doesn't exist in Yavai, however, there is much wisdom in the land and plenty of clues and Mark's to find that tell about the histories of the land as well as Felacor and Akeynas history and whereabouts. Fact: It is known that Felacor and Yavai explored Yavai together as youngsters before parting ways at Song Hill when they chose war against one another. |
YAVAI VEGETATION |
Yavai consists of various firs, pines, bushes, plants and other important vegetation. Natives of Yavai know that many plants and herbs can be used for healing and used as ingredients for potions, Armor and other materials. An example would be to use Black Berries and water to create the Stamina potion or Banana Leaves and water to create a health potion. Vegetation is not limited to the list below as new discoveries are possible. |
Azure Pine | he Azure Pine has a blueish color to the eye and stands 30ft tall. It drops pine cones to the forest floor every Fall and Spring. Azure Pine covers much of the Eastern side of the of Yavai and dots areas in the North, South and West. It is rumored that Azure pine needles serve as a bitter medicine when their needles are soaked in the pines tree sap. |
Moon Lily | The Moon Lily is a flower that looks like an actual lily, its petals white in color with a yellow center. Moon Lilies are actually poisonous to the body but only if digested, licked, or touched against an open wound. The petals are what carry this poison and are used in mixtures. Some may use the Moon Lily mixture for weapons or glamour. The only cure for Moon Lily poison is its sister, the Nightshade Lily. Moon Lilies are found in the East, mostly in forests but occasionally found in grasslands and bloom throughout the year. Moon Lilies grow in patches or three or four buds in one area. Their stems are sharp. |
Nightshade Lily | Nightshade Lilies are lavender in color with a white center. Their stems are spiked but soften when splashed with water. Nightshades are an antidote for Moon Lily poison, yet hard to find. Nightshades love being in dark places, and therefore are usually found in Caves or crevices. When using a Nightshade the victim needs to chew on its surprisingly strong petals. Mix the petals in water to soften them if the victim is to weak to chew them properly. Because they are so strong, a Nightshades petals can be used to stop bleeding as well. The petals can be used for decoration as well. |
Purple Berries | Black in color with a purple center, Purple Berries is seen as a confused term, but not without reason. Purple Berries are a source of food wolves in Yavai can eat during the Winter season when prey is scarce because they bloom in the Fall and Winter but not in Spring or Summer. Purple Berries are found in forests and dotted in grasslands as well. Purple Berries can be difficult to find as these bushes bloom in indirect over overcast sunlight which is strange considering most or found in shaded areas. It is said that Pure Berries bloom immediately in sunlight and rot after a week or two. Purple berry juice can be used to create Stamina Potions though the berries do not contain any healing properties. |
Sugar Maple | Found in the all over the continent. Sugar Maples stand fifty-five to seventy-five feet tall. It is known that the bark of such a tree tastes and smells like sugar. Sugar Maples are green by nature and change to brilliant red, orange and yellow variations in the Fall. The Sugar Maple bears flowers in the spring but they are more for view. No one knows if the tree holds any useful properties at this time other that tasting like sugar which seems to raise energy to those who choose to lick the bark. |
Wild Grass | To add to the beauty of Yavai, wild grass cover about seventy-five percent of the continent. This grass is edible for the stomach and not at all harmful. Blades that aren't maintain by prey animals such as Deer or Elk can reach a max of five feet tall. |
CYCLE OF THE SEASONS |
Each Season in Yavai goes off of the current season in real life. Any time a season changes, new threads from that date need to reflect the new season. For example, if Spring starts on March 31st, threads made on March 31st will need to be Spring related threads. Existing threads from a previous season may continue till they are finish. Whether members avert to the new season in existing thread is up to them. For example, if a thread is in Winter since the 28th but Spring started on the 31st, the thread may remain in Winter but still still revert to Winter-within reason i.e. timeskip- to Spring if the participants choose to do so. |
Spring | March 19th - June 19th |
Summer | June 20th - Septtember 21st |
Autumn | September 22 - December 20th |
Winter | December 21st - March 18th |
YAVAI KINGDOM |
Yavai hosts a wide variety of prey and predator animals. Each one will contain it's own Health bar as well as locations it can be found. When rolling the dice for an obstacle or hunt, you may get something that usually isn't found in the area you're in. Yavai is mostly hospitable to Forest, Tundra and Grassland animals, so there is no need to worry if the obstacle is a Moose on Song Hill. What luck! |
