Keep in mind that Souls of Redemption is a Semi-Realistic wolf roleplay. This guide is meant to provide necessary information to set up your character. If something is not covered in the guides, please ask about it in the Assistance Forum of SOR. Please refrain sending private messages. Everyone here is friendly! |
Members may choose what markings and colors to use for their characters as long as members keep in mind that magic is not allowed. Grows are allowed but remember you cannot fly if you have wings. |
Check out the table below to decide what height, weight and length suits your wolf. Keep in mind that each may affect your wolfs ability to fend for itself in duels but may also have an easier time catching bigger prey if you are a smaller wolf as opposed to larger prey. Chart is based off of the smallest wolf(Japanese Wolf) and the largest wolf(Mackenzie Valley) statistics. Gender does not matter, but if you want to do the math, you are more than welcome to for a realistic aspect, but we won't reject a larger than normal female wolf. |
Size | Weight | Height | Length | Small | 60-85lbs | 12-20in | 35-44in | Medium | 90-175lbs | 21-31in | 45-59in | Large | 180-235lbs | 32-36in | 60-84in |
The breed of your wolf is up to you. Keep in mind that breeding season on Yavai is in the Spring Months-April through May- and pups are born in the Autumn. The breed or gender of each pup is decided by the table below. When creating your wolf, you'll have a set of genetics which determines the breed of your pups when they are born. If both wolves are Dominantly Eastern Wolf by blood, the pups they have will be Eastern as well, vise versa for a pair of recessive genes. If you have a mixture, it's all about possibilities. If two parents have recessive and dominant traits, the pups will be quite unique.
The table could look something like the following which determine how many pups could be Male(X) and Female(Y) Members can use this table to configure the outcomes of gender, color and trait genes. Variables can be up to you. Traits can be done with S for Strength, H Health, R for Survival. If a character is born with 60% Health or less, it may indicate an illness or disability. Be sure to pay attention to character Genetics as they are specified in the biographies! If you have questions, let us know in the Assistance forum! |
Genes | X | Y | Results | X | XX | XY | XX XY | Y | YX | YY | YX YY | Percentage | 50% Male | 50% Female | 50% Male 50% Female |
Litters consist of a maximum six pups per liter. Pups are only playable at age six months or older. All wolves on Yavai are Native. Pups cannot do quests until age two where they can begin Scout Training. Pups don't level up till they begin Scout Training. Pups graduate from Scout training after completing all the Quests in the Scout Training Guide. After their training is complete, they take the Alliance Quest and are free to do as they please from then on. |
Members have freedom to age their character when they see fit. Remember if your pup is in the middle of Scout Training and you choose to age them, their stats will remain as they are. It recommended to not leave during a Scout Training Quest. |
All wolves are presumably native to Yavai. You can create any sort of scenario as long as we keep one rule that all wolves are Native. |
Any wolf can have some form of disability as long as you keep in mind that a wolfs Health or ability to Survive may be impacted. View the Leveling System Guide for more information about health and disabilities. |
All members have the freedom to roleplay their own NPCs. You can produce a sister who always travels with you or an annoying bird for example. Keep in mind that if you plan to have an obstacle occur in the roleplay, you need to roll the Obstacle Dice. NPCs are meant for personal use. Game related NPCs need to be rolled, such as wanted to fight a cougar, should the dice produce it. |
At the start of the Game, members start at level 1 until they complete the Alliance Quest. Part one of the Alliance Quest is called A Testament of Two. In the Quest, members will be given a snippet from both Akenya and Felacor and will be allowed to choose their Alliance. Which will get you halfway through the level before moving up to Level 2. The second half of the Alliance Quest is A Test of Character. Akeyna or Felacor-whichever Alliance you chose, will give you a challenge based on facts about your character and you must decide whether or not the Alliance you chose is a good fit. If you choose the opposite Alliance, you won't need to take the other siblings test, only finish the Quest with that decision being made.
This quest requires two participants. You can change your alliance at anytime based on certain events your characters take part in. For example if your character is good but murders one of the wolves in their Alliance, your probably going to turn Evil! Keep in mind that opposite Alignment outside Neutral are more prone to get into more fights than those of the Neutral group. |
